Business Applications Development Manager

Business Applications Development Manager

Location: London Bridge (3 days per week on-site)

Salary: Up to £75,000 + Benefits (TBC)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Applications Development Manager to lead and shape our Microsoft business applications landscape. This is a pivotal, standalone position responsible for supporting users across D365 CE and the wider Microsoft ecosystem, while driving a major multi-year D365 CE upgrade and implementation project starting next year.

In this role, you will have the autonomy to influence technical direction, define standards, and guide key decisions that shape the future of our IT systems. You will act as a technical advisor to both the business and our Microsoft Partner, ensuring modern and effective solutions are implemented.

Our current D365 environment is outdated and requires a full redesign using the latest modules and capabilities—offering a significant opportunity to make a long-term impact. You will work closely with a broader IT team of five across Infrastructure, Applications, PM, BA, and Data, but this role carries no direct reports .

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee a major D365 CE upgrade/implementation project.
  • Provide expert technical guidance on D365 CE and the wider Microsoft platform.
  • Support users across business applications and ensure best-practice system usage.
  • Work closely with our Microsoft Partner to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Shape architectural decisions and set technical standards for the organisation.
  • Contribute to the evolution of a modern, scalable Microsoft environment.

The Candidate

We are looking for a technically strong and strategically minded professional with:

  • 5+ years’ experience in D365 CE development.
  • Extensive involvement in full-cycle D365 CE implementations.
  • The ability to drive technical standards and understand the wider business context.
  • A background in hands-on development, but with the ambition to focus on architectural/technical leadership rather than pure coding.
  • Power Platform experience—Power Automate, Power Apps, and ideally Power Pages (not essential).
  • Strong coding background in C#, .NET, and JavaScript .

Eligibility: British Citizens, ILR, or Settled Status only. (No dependents.)
