This is a rare chance to become the in-house D365 Business Central champion for a fast-growing European construction partner (£200m turnover, 500 staff). They're mid-transition from a legacy system to BC Cloud, investing heavily in data, AI, and digital infrastructure — and they want someone to truly own it.
The role:
You'll take technical and functional ownership of Business Central, leading the cloud implementation with a delivery partner, then shaping how BC supports the wider business long-term.
What you'll be doing:
- Own and lead the D365 BC Cloud implementation
- Hands-on AL development: fixes, enhancements, customisations
- Act as the go-to BC expert across Finance & Commercial teams
- Integrate third-party systems into BC post-go-live
- Identify inefficiencies and improve processes end-to-end
- Work closely with the CIO and senior stakeholders
What they're looking for:
- Strong D365 BC / NAV experience
- 50/50 technical & functional profile
- Confident with AL development
- Module strength in Finance & Commercial (Production a bonus)
- Business-minded, proactive, ownership mentality
The setup:
- Hybrid working (1–2 days in Birmingham office)
- Minimal travel
- Stable hours (8/8:30–5/5:30)
- Role fully signed off and ready to hire
