Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 + Bonus + Benefits

The Company

Our client is a well-established and growing B2B technology business that provides innovative products and services to commercial organisations across a range of sectors. With an impressive client portfolio and a strong reputation for delivering exceptional customer service, they continue to invest in their people and are now looking to appoint an experienced Key Account Manager to join their commercial team.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-focused Account Manager to take ownership of an established portfolio of customers, ensuring exceptional service while identifying opportunities to strengthen existing partnerships and drive commercial growth.

Working closely with colleagues across Sales, Operations and Customer Support, you'll become the trusted point of contact for your accounts, helping customers maximise the value of the company's solutions while ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of existing customer accounts, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Conduct regular customer reviews to understand business needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive customer retention through proactive account management and timely contract renewals.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through additional products and services.
  • Develop and implement account plans that support customer success and long-term commercial growth.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and customer activity.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Resolve customer queries efficiently, coordinating with internal teams where necessary.
  • Attend customer meetings and industry events when required.
  • Support the wider commercial team by sharing best practice and contributing to continuous improvement.

About You

We're looking for a commercially minded Account Manager who enjoys building long-term customer relationships and delivering outstanding service.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in Key Account Management, Account Management or Customer Success.
  • A proven track record of retaining and developing B2B customer accounts.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage customer relationships and pipelines.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, customer-first approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
