Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Fully remote - £70,000 + Excellent benefits & career development

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a global insurance company for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer.

You will need to be exceptional with IAM and Active Directory and security with servers. You will be developing processing procedures to ensure managed environments maintain the highest levels of availability, security, and quality. They follow all set procedures to the change management system. You will also serve as an escalation point and provide guidance and direction for the resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems.

Role & Responsibilities

Active Directory

  • Expertise in configuring end user and Server GPO's, troubleshooting GPO configs.
  • Expertise in managing DNS.
  • Plan and Deploy AD Sites and Services, Promote/Demote Domain Controllers.
  • AD user migration using ADMT.
  • Support Multiple AD forests and trust between them.
  • Automate AD health checks, Identity Lifecyle management, etc.
  • Setup, configure and administer Quest Change auditor.
  • Setup and review AD health assessments to remediate any vulnerabilities.
  • Setup and support Active Directory Certificate Services.
  • Troubleshoot AD replication and MS Entra Connect sync issues.

Identity

  • Expertise in designing and managing Identity Lifecyle Management systems.
  • Implement Identity Lifecycle processes.
  • Support user provisioning and de-provisioning.
  • Define access control and authorization.
  • Support Identity Governance and Compliance.
  • Develop and maintain Identity Lifecycle automation.

MS Entra Connect

  • Setup new MS Entra Connect connectors.
  • Develop sync rules.
  • Upgrade MS Entra Connect and resolve Identity conflicts.
  • Configure password hash sync, writeback, SSO etc.

O365/MS Entra

  • Setup and troubleshoot MS Entra Conditional access policies.
  • Configure Privileged Identity Manager to administer various MS Entra Roles.
  • Create enterprise apps to setup SSO with third party vendors.
  • Setup Multifactor Authentication.
  • Assign/reassign various O365 licenses and enable relevant services within the O365 licenses.

Automation

  • Develop PowerShell scripts to help automate routine tasks, monitor, and generate reports on various workloads (EXO, MS Entra, Teams, SPO, O365 licensing, etc.)
  • Working experience with GitHub and YAML configuration.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of Active Directory and Identity management experience.
  • 5+ years of Application integration pertaining to a corporate infrastructure.
  • Experience with MS Entra Accounts provisioning and enterprise app integration with MS Entra (e.g., Workday)
  • 2+ years of MS Entra experience.
  • Knowledge of Kerberos, LDAP, Active Directory, ADFS, DNS, DHCP.
  • Intricate knowledge of MS Entra, Conditional Access, MFA, O365 licensing etc.
  • Expert knowledge of Windows servers, Active Directory, ADFS, GPOs in a Windows Server 2012
  • R2 and 2016 environment.

  • Ability to effectively plan, facilitate, and participate in meetings with employees from all organizational levels.
  • Strong PowerShell automation and advanced Active Directory experience.
  • Effectively use teamwork to contribute to a high morale/high-performance team culture and leading by example.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in an open way, willingness to share knowledge and resources and to educate others within a global team.
  • Strong skills in prioritization and re-prioritization to react to a dynamic environment as the company continues to evolve.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong listening skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate business and technical information to audiences with varying backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate with offshore teams and technical development teams.
  • Good documentation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact with management in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to accommodate schedule flexibility to deal with escalations and occasional changes during non-core business hours.
