HR Projects, HRIS & Transformation Manager

Summary

We are looking for an experienced HR Projects, HRIS & Transformation Manager to join us on an 18 month FTC to play a key role in transforming how HR operates across Pelsis globally.

This is a hands-on transformation role with responsibility for simplifying and standardising HR policies, processes and employee lifecycle activities, while helping us select, implement and embed a new Group HRIS.

Working closely with the VP HR, regional HR teams and colleagues across IT, Finance, Payroll and Legal, you will help create a simpler, more consistent and scalable HR operating model. From redesigning processes and defining system requirements through to data readiness, testing, implementation and adoption, you will be central to turning our HR transformation strategy into practical delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands both HR and technology and enjoys challenging legacy processes, improving employee and manager experience and using systems and automation to make HR more effective.

How You'll Make an Impact

As HR Projects, HRIS & Transformation Manager, you will:

  • Lead the review, simplification and standardisation of HR policies, procedures and employee lifecycle processes across the Group.
  • Identify duplication, manual processes and unnecessary local variation, creating common global standards while recognising genuine legal and country-specific requirements.
  • Work with the VP HR to define the requirements for a new Group HRIS and support the identification and selection of the right technology partner.
  • Translate HR policies and future-state processes into clear system requirements, workflows, approval routes, digital forms, controls and employee/manager self-service journeys.
  • Coordinate vendor assessment, demonstrations, evaluation and business-case development to support HRIS selection.
  • Act as the HR functional lead during HRIS implementation, working across configuration, data migration, testing, deployment, training and adoption.
  • Design and introduce automated workflows and self-service solutions that reduce unnecessary administration and improve the employee and manager experience.
  • Lead the design, standardisation and implementation of the Group's performance management process, embedding this within the HRIS.
  • Establish stronger people-data standards and improve the accuracy, consistency and governance of workforce information.
  • Develop meaningful workforce reporting and dashboards across areas such as headcount, vacancies, labour cost, turnover, absence, recruitment and performance.
  • Lead data cleansing, validation and migration activity to create a reliable source of employee and organisational information.
  • Own and coordinate the wider HR transformation project portfolio, maintaining clear plans, milestones, dependencies, risks and measures of success.
  • Develop change, communication and training plans to ensure new systems and processes are understood and adopted across the business.
  • Measure the impact of transformation initiatives, including reductions in manual administration, duplicate activity and transactional HR workload.
  • Work closely with HR colleagues to ensure improvements free up HR capacity for higher-value business partnering, talent, organisation and performance activity.

What You'll Bring

We are looking for someone who combines strong HR process knowledge with systems, transformation and project delivery experience.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Strong experience delivering HR transformation, HR operations improvement, process standardisation or HRIS projects, ideally within a multi-site or international organisation.
  • Practical experience reviewing and harmonising HR policies, procedures and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Experience translating HR requirements into system functionality, workflows, approval rules and self-service solutions.
  • Hands-on involvement in the selection of an HRIS or other enterprise people technology, including requirements gathering, vendor evaluation and demonstrations.
  • Experience supporting or leading a significant HRIS implementation, including configuration, data migration, testing, deployment and adoption.
  • Strong process-mapping and future-state process-design capability, with a focus on simplifying processes before automating them.
  • Experience with HR data cleansing, migration, validation, reporting and data governance.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies and stakeholder reporting.
  • The ability to work effectively across HR, IT, Finance, Payroll, Legal and Data Protection teams, as well as external vendors and implementation partners.
  • A strong understanding of the employee lifecycle and HR operations, with the judgement to distinguish genuine business or legal requirements from historic ways of working.
  • Good knowledge of HRIS functionality, including core HR, workflow, employee and manager self-service, reporting, security and integrations.
  • Working knowledge of GDPR and employee-data governance.
  • Strong Excel and data-analysis capability; experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools would be advantageous.
  • A recognised project management, change management or process improvement qualification such as PRINCE2, Agile, Prosci, Lean or Six Sigma would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • CIPD or an equivalent HR qualification would also be advantageous.
  • Experience within manufacturing, industrial, private-equity or transformation environments would be beneficial.

You'll be highly organised, analytical and delivery focused, with the confidence to challenge inefficient legacy processes and bring stakeholders together around a better way of working.

Most importantly, you'll have a genuine continuous improvement mindset – always looking for opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate while improving the experience for employees, managers and HR.
