About Penfold

Penfold is on a mission to help everyone save enough to be comfortable in later life by making pensions accessible and engaging.

There’s over £1 trillion in UK pensions, but the industry is still dominated by traditional providers with outdated products and poor customer experiences. Penfold is helping bring pensions into the modern world with a technology-led platform that makes saving simple, accessible and engaging for individuals and businesses.

We’re a fast-growing fintech team based primarily across London and Tallinn, backed by leading investors. Today we manage nearly £1bn in pension assets for over 100,000 savers and thousands of businesses, and we’re continuing to scale rapidly.

As we grow our commercial team, we’re looking for someone who can lead our SDR function while building the operational foundations that allow our sales team to scale efficiently.

The Role

This is a hybrid leadership and operational role combining SDR team management with Sales Operations ownership.

You’ll lead and develop our Sales Development team, while also ensuring the systems, processes and data that power our sales organisation run smoothly and effectively.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys both coaching people and building scalable systems, someone who can drive pipeline growth while also creating the structure, tooling and insight that enable sales teams to perform at their best.

You’ll work closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing and Leadership to build a predictable, data-driven revenue engine as Penfold continues to grow.

Enable Sales Productivity

  • Ensure reps have access to high-quality sales materials and collateral
  • Support SDR and AE onboarding and enablement
  • Document and maintain sales processes and best practices
  • Reduce operational friction so reps spend more time selling

Data & Pipeline Insights

  • Maintain clean lead, account and opportunity data
  • Implement and manage data enrichment tools (e.g. Cognism, Apollo, ZoomInfo)
  • Monitor funnel health and surface insights on:
  • Conversion rates
  • Pipeline velocity
  • Deal bottlenecks
  • Build dashboards and reports that support planning and forecasting

Tools & Systems Ownership

  • Evaluate and implement sales tools (sequencing, enrichment, forecasting etc.)
  • Ensure tools integrate properly with the existing tech stack
  • Be the internal expert on how our sales stack works

  • Experience managing or leading an SDR / Business Development team
  • Strong experience with HubSpot CRM
  • Background supporting B2B sales teams (SDR + AE motions)
