We're looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Water Asset Health & Intelligence to lead the development of a modern, data-driven approach to managing our drinking water assets.

This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of asset stewardship, responsible for ensuring our water treatment and distribution assets remain safe, compliant, reliable, and resilient for the future. You'll combine technical expertise, strategic thinking, and inspirational leadership to drive asset performance, optimise investment decisions, and support delivery of long-term business and regulatory commitments.

What you'll be doing:

As Head of Water Asset Health & Intelligence, you'll lead the strategy and performance of water asset health across our networks and treatment infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a long-term asset health strategy focused on whole-life asset performance.

• Leading the creation and maintenance of asset health frameworks, including condition assessment, deterioration modelling, and intervention planning.

• Driving the use of asset intelligence, analytics, and data-led decision-making to optimise investment and operational performance.

• Strengthening asset data quality and intelligence capabilities, including condition monitoring and predictive maintenance approaches.

• Embedding risk-based planning and prioritisation to inform investment and operational decisions.

• Delivering performance improvements across key measures such as water quality compliance, leakage, supply interruptions, asset reliability, and network resilience.

• Supporting regulatory reporting requirements and business planning processes.

• Championing innovation through digital tools, predictive analytics, and smart monitoring technologies.

• Building strong relationships with operational, engineering, regulatory, finance, and planning teams, alongside external stakeholders and regulators.

• Leading and developing a high-performing team, creating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What we're looking for:

You'll be an established leader with significant experience in asset management and a strong understanding of the challenges facing regulated infrastructure businesses.

We're looking for someone with:

• Proven leadership experience within water, utilities, infrastructure, or a similarly regulated environment.

• Strong knowledge of asset management principles, asset health frameworks, and whole-life asset planning.

• Experience applying risk-based decision-making to asset investment and maintenance strategies.

• A deep understanding of regulatory environments and capital investment planning.

• Experience working with large and complex datasets to solve business and operational challenges.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

• Knowledge of asset management systems, GIS platforms, or related technologies.

• Experience of AMP planning cycles, business planning, or regulatory submissions would be advantageous.

• A degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Asset Management, or a related discipline.
