Your New Salary: Highly competitive, depending on experienceJob status: Permanent, 5 days office basedLocation: SloughElectrical Data Centre Engineer - Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the construction, operation, maintenance, and optimization of Data Centre electrical facilities, ensuring operational reliability, compliance, and service excellence.Electrical Data Centre Engineer - What You'll be Doing:1. Operational Oversight & Vendor ManagementAct as the technical lead overseeing the Facility Management (FM) team to ensure all electrical operations align with global standards and SLAs.Review and approve critical operational documents, including Method of Procedure (MOP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP).Conduct regular audits of maintenance records and onsite activities to ensure high standards of execution and safety compliance.2. Technical Authority & Risk MitigationServe as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for complex electrical issues and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for power-related incidents.Identify potential Single Points of Failure (SPOF) and oversee mitigation measures.Provide technical supervision and approval for high-risk electrical operations, including UPS bypass, generator load testing, and HV switching activities.3. Strategic Asset & Lifecycle ManagementReview and approve electrical system modifications and capacity expansion plans to ensure no impact on live IT operations.Support long-term CAPEX planning through equipment health assessments and lifecycle analysis.Drive energy efficiency initiatives by analysing power distribution performance and PUE trends.4. Compliance & Safety StandardsEnsure all electrical systems comply with local statutory and regulatory requirements.Promote and enforce compliance with Electrical Safety Programs, including LOTO and Arc Flash protection procedures.Electrical Data Centre Engineer - The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin and EnglishBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplineCEng or IEng qualification preferredSolid relevant experience in Data Centre operations on the electrical sideCandidates with less experience may be considered for junior positionsStrong knowledge of Electrical Power EngineeringFamiliarity with electrical calculation softwareProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointPositive attitude with strong teamwork spiritGood stress management skillsExcellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skillsPlease follow us on Linkedin: We would be grateful if you could send your CV as a Word document.
