Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Digital Health Procurement Specialist to join a major public sector healthcare organisation. This is a high-impact role for a motivated procurement professional with a strong background in digital health, IT systems, and technology transformation.

You'll be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement of digital health equipment, software, and managed services, supporting the delivery of complex technology programmes that enhance patient care and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

As the Digital Health Procurement Specialist, you will:

  • Lead the procurement of clinical and non-clinical digital health systems, hardware, and managed services.

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organisational and regional objectives.

  • Manage end-to-end tendering and contract management processes in compliance with public sector procurement regulations.

  • Deliver measurable cost efficiencies and value-for-money outcomes across a multi-million-pound spend portfolio.

  • Provide expert commercial, contractual, and procurement advice to stakeholders and project teams.

  • Lead supplier negotiations, ensuring fair, transparent, and competitive outcomes.


About You

We're looking for a proactive and experienced procurement professional who can combine commercial insight with a strong understanding of digital and health technologies.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience managing complex digital, IT, or healthcare procurement projects.

  • Strong knowledge of UK Public Contract Regulations (PCR 2015) or similar frameworks.

  • Proven ability to lead tendering and contract management activities for high-value projects.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Desirable:

  • MCIPS qualification (or working towards it).

  • Atamis experience

  • Experience in a healthcare or public sector setting.

  • Familiarity with digital health technologies, EPR systems, or managed IT services.
