We are now seeking a Senior Service Engineer to join their resolute engineering team, responsible for maintaining and supporting high-end CCTV and security systems for their valued clients in the Berkshire region.

The Role

As a Senior Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continued operation, performance, and reliability of CCTV and integrated security systems. You will provide technical support, routine maintenance, fault-finding, and on-site repair services to a portfolio of prestigious clients.

This role is ideally suited to an initiative-taking, technically skilled professional with a background in electronics and strong knowledge of digital/IP technologies and networked systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide service, maintenance, and fault diagnosis on CCTV and security systems.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure long-term system reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and repair technical faults efficiently and effectively on-site and remotely.
  • Configure, test, and program IP-based CCTV systems and associated networks.
  • Deliver high levels of customer service and maintain positive relationships with key clients.
  • Accurately document service visits, issues, and resolutions in line with company procedures.
  • Consult with the engineering team and management to share technical knowledge and best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rota and provide out-of-hours support when required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Recognised qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
  • Proven experience in servicing CCTV and integrated security systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PC/IP-based systems, digital video technologies, and networking.
  • Experience with network programming, configuration, and management.
  • Ability to interpret technical diagrams and system schematics.
  • Health & Safety compliance and awareness.
  • Excellent fault-finding and critical thinking skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Excellent people skills both written and verbal.
  • A hunger to learn and excel in front of your clients and team.
