We’re looking for someone to join our FP&A team during a pivotal moment in our transformation journey. As we move away from large Excel-based financial models and towards a modern data-warehouse-driven reporting environment, you will play a critical role in designing, validating, and embedding the next generation of finance data infrastructure.

πŸ—“ So, what will your day-to-day look like?

Data & Systems Transformation

  • Support the creation and ongoing development of Perch Group’s new finance data warehouse, ensuring it meets all FP&A and wider finance requirements.
  • Work closely with the Data team on data structures, tables, relationships and validation layers.
  • Test, validate, and reconcile data feeds, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and suitability for financial modelling and reporting.
  • Drive the automation of existing manual processes, enabling the team to focus on analysis rather than data preparation.
  • Assist with evaluation and future implementation of an FP&A system

Reporting & Analytics

  • Build, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards using data from multiple systems and sources, for regular internal/external reporting and analysis.
  • Translate financial concepts into visual, intuitive insight products for senior stakeholders.
  • Develop automated reporting processes that support budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis and KPI tracking.

Financial Modelling & Analysis

  • Support FP&A with modelling, analysis and month-end insight creation.
  • Use advanced Excel skills to build and optimise models where required (while continuing the transition to automated solutions).
  • Partner with the wider finance team to ensure data and reporting tools meet evolving business needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with Data, Portfolio Analytics, Finance and Operational teams.
  • Act as a finance data subject-matter expert, ensuring alignment between data structures and commercial/financial logic.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis, business decision-making, and appraisal of new opportunities (experience with investments is helpful but not essential).

  • Experience working within a finance team, ideally in FP&A, reporting, or financial analysis.
  • Comfortable working with large and complex datasets.
  • Strong experience building Power BI dashboards and working with multiple data sources.
  • Advanced Excel user (complex formulas, Power Query, modelling, automation).
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Databricks.
  • Demonstrated involvement in process improvement or automation initiatives.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with or migrating to a data warehouse environment.
  • Part-qualified or qualified in a finance-related qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with an FP&A system (such as Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Jedox), (desirable).
  • Exposure to investments, debt portfolios or financial services (desirable).
