We’re looking for a collaborative and curious Decision Scientist to help design and optimise data-driven solutions that support machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modelling.
You’ll work closely with analysts, operational teams, and stakeholders across the business to develop scalable, high-quality models that support smarter decision-making and improve outcomes for both the business and our customers.

🗓So, what will your day-to-day look like?
- Supporting the Head of Decision Science in the development and ongoing improvement of predictive and probabilistic models using historic and real-time data
- Applying advanced analytical techniques including XGBoost, Random Forests, and Monte Carlo methods to solve business challenges
- Partnering with pricing and operational teams to improve workflows, automation, and analytical insight
- Identifying opportunities to improve model accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
- Contributing to the development of analytics best practices and mentoring junior analysts where appropriate
- Exploring new tools, techniques, and data sources to help evolve our decision science capability
👆 Does this sound like you?
- Experience in data science, analytics, or statistical modelling within a commercial environment
- Hands-on experience applying machine learning techniques to real-world datasets
- Strong experience of modelling approaches such as Random Forests, XGBoost, or simulation techniques
- Strong Python skills for data analysis and model development
- A collaborative mindset and an interest in solving complex problems through data
- Experience with additional languages such as R, Java, or Scala would be beneficial, but isn’t essential.
⌛ The Application Timeline
- A first stage video call with the internal recruitment team (15 minutes)
- A second stage introductory video call with the hiring manager (20 minutes)
- A face to face interview with the hiring manager (45 minutes - 60 minutes)

- £45,000 - £55,000 DOE, + up to 20% of your annual salary, paid as a bonus.
- This role is based at our Manchester office .
