The role:
We are seeking an SC Cleared Test Automation Engineer to support a large-scale data transformation and migration programme within a secure environment.
This role will focus on building and executing automated testing solutions across modern data platforms, ensuring the quality, integrity, and reliability of data pipelines and reporting outputs.
You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to validate data flows across technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Power BI.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong data-focused test automation experience to play a key role in a high-impact transformation programme.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test frameworks for data pipelines and transformations
- Validate data integrity across Azure Data Factory and Databricks workflows
- Perform end-to-end testing of data migration activities
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting outputs within Power BI
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to embed quality across the delivery lifecycle
- Develop and maintain test scripts, test cases, and automation suites
- Identify defects, data inconsistencies, and performance issues across datasets
- Support CI/CD integration for automated testing within Azure environments
- Provide clear reporting on test results, risks, and data quality metrics
Skills & Experience:
- Active SC Clearance (essential)
- Proven experience in test automation within data environments
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks
- Experience testing data migration and transformation processes
- Familiarity with Power BI testing and validation
- Experience working within Azure-based ecosystems
- Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and reconciliation techniques
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable skills:
- Experience working in secure or public sector environments
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks
- Experience with SQL, Python, or similar scripting languages
- Exposure to large-scale transformation or migration programmes
