Process Systems Technician (Wareham)

This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a hands-on IT team based at Perenco Wytch Farm in Wareham, Dorset. This position is responsible for providing support services within the IT team in an Operational Technology environment supporting and administering IACS & Process systems. The successful candidate will also act as a cyber security coordinator.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Work to objectives set by the IT Manager & Senior Control Engineer.

• Responsibility of administering IT infrastructure within IACS and Process Environment.

• Periodic patching and updating of OT equipment.

• Periodic patching and updating of Anti-virus in offline environment.

• General Maintenance of control system hardware and other OT systems.

• Regular testing of Disaster Recovery processes and updating procedures.

• Periodic password and physical access audits.

• Able to work to strict project deadlines.

• Asset Management of OT systems including spare stock and liaising with 3rd party vendors.

• Comply with company IT standards and Cyber Security guidelines.

• To regularly review cyber bulletins and notifications assess and report.

• Be always aware of data security, pro-actively seek to resolve issues as they arise, including the escalation and mitigation of risks to services and incident management.

Requirements:

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Experience in managing and supporting Windows Server Environments.

• Experience in managing and supporting VMware ESXi.

• Experience of Veeam and Backup Exec/restore solutions.

• Experience of Win OS 10/11 & MS Office 365.

• Experience of Vulnerability management/patch management in an Offline Environment.

• Experience of Local Area Networking infrastructure, including Firewalls, Telecomms, TCP/IP.

• Experience off Hardware refresh, Licensing, and CA Certificates and working with 3rd Party Vendors.

• To take responsibility for Health Safety & Data Security within the remit of this role, communicating concerns in a timely manner.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

• Background of working with a helpdesk logging system.

• Knowledge of industrial Automation/Control Systems/OPC UA and Cogent DataHub.

• Knowledge of CyberSecurity and IEC 62443.

• Knowledge of OSI/AVEVA PI Architecture

• Understanding of DCOM.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision, but able to communicate with line management on a regular basis.
