Dispenser Counter Assistant
Job summary
The role is for 37.5 hours a week working 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday. The Interview Date is 8th September 2026.
To receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the dispensary services in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
Main duties of the job
- To have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures.
- To work in accordance with written protocols
- Greeting patients at the dispensary desk and finding out what their query is.
- Distributing medication or prescriptions as required
- Handling payment for prescriptions in line with protocol and cashing up the till at the end of your shift.
