Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Power BI Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-scale BI solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and performance tuning, especially for large and complex datasets. The ideal candidate will be proficient in tools like DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, and Azure-based data services. Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement scalable Power BI solutions for enterprise reporting.
- Lead the BI roadmap: consolidation, migration, and modernization (e.g., SSRS/Excel to Power BI; on-prem to AWS Glue + Amazon Athena + Amazon Redshift + Amazon QuickSight).
- Design and optimize complex data models using Tabular Editor and DAX Studio. Manage and optimize very large datasets (VLDB) for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Lead performance tuning, including DAX optimization and query diagnostics.
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across BI platforms.
- Mentor junior BI developers and enforce best practices.
- Stay current with Power BI updates and industry trends.
Required Skills:
- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Strong experience with DAX Studio and Tabular Editor for performance tuning and model management.
- Proven ability to manage and optimize very large datasets in Power BI and Azure.
- Solid understanding of SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Data Lake, and Analysis Services (AAS/SSAS).
- Strong performance tuning: aggregations, incremental refresh, Hybrid tables, Direct Query optimizations, query folding
