Diesel Systems Engineer
PS Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Diesel Engineer to join a busy and growing engineering team.
This is a hands-on role involving the inspection, repair, overhaul, testing and assembly of diesel engines, transmissions, axles and related mechanical components. You'll work within a modern workshop environment, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strip, inspect and rebuild mechanical components
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
- Test and evaluate completed units
- Complete workshop paperwork accurately
- Work closely with parts and service teams
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping
- Working hours of 7:30 - 16:00, Monday - Friday
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a mechanical or engineering environment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working on diesel engines, transmissions or similar equipment
- Ability to read technical information and follow procedures
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
