In-House SEO Contractor

Job Title: In-House SEO ContractorLocation: Biggin HillOn-site – Monday to Friday (Office-based)Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with business goals- Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and opportunity mapping- Identify growth opportunities across content, technical SEO, and link acquisition- Optimize website content, metadata, internal linking, and site structure- Implement keyword targeting strategies- Work closely with content, marketing, and design teams to improve rankings- Perform technical audits (crawl errors, indexing issues, site speed, mobile usability)- Collaborate with developers to implement technical improvements- Monitor Core Web Vitals and site health- Track KPIs including organic traffic, rankings, conversions, and engagement- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports- Provide data-driven insights and recommendationsRequired Skills & Experience- 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience- Proven success improving organic traffic and keyword rankings- Strong understanding of technical SEO principles- Experience with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Screaming Frog- Ability to interpret data and translate insights into action- Strong communication and collaboration skills- Self-motivated and able to work independently in an in-office settingPreferred Qualifications- Experience working in-house (not only agency-side)- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, Webflow)- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and website architecture- Experience in local SEO (if applicable to business)
