We're looking for a talented and motivated Senior Performance and Improvement Officer to join our team and help transform how performance, data, and business intelligence support service delivery.This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the deployment of Power BI, improve data quality, and support business-critical decision-making across our high-profile, complex Operational Services division. What You’ll Be Doing As a key member of the Business Improvement Team, you’ll:
- Lead the roll-out of Power BI within Operational Services.
- Improve the quality and accessibility of performance data across departments.
- Design and deliver interactive dashboards that support both day-to-day management and strategic planning.
- Support business improvement projects to enhance customer service, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Audit and analyse internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with service areas and corporate teams to ensure performance insights are clear, actionable, and aligned with our strategic priorities.
- Proven expertise in Power BI, including dashboard creation, DAX, and data modelling.
- Strong knowledge of data profiling, cleansing, and validation techniques.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practice.
- Experience integrating multiple data sources to create cohesive reporting tools.
- Ability to identify and resolve data inconsistencies and ensure data quality.
- Skilled in engaging stakeholders to assess reporting needs and data requirements.
- Experience in delivering or supporting business improvement initiatives.
- Influence high-impact decisions at all levels.
- Work across a diverse range of services.
- Drive innovative use of data and technology in the public sector.
- Help shape the future of performance and improvement within local government.
