Finance Systems Manager - SAP FICO - Salary £75-80k + 10% bonus, hybrid working, private healthcare, pension

Opportunity to lead and play a key role in the design, implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Premium.

Working closely with finance and business stakeholders, this role will be responsible for translating business requirements into SAP configuration, ensuring robust financial processes that scale

Role

• Partner with finance stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements, focusing on SAP Public Cloud Premium.
• Configure and customise SAP FI/CO/Treasury modules to align with processes (AP, AR, GL, asset accounting, cost controlling, consolidations).
• Lead/support end-to-end SAP implementations: data migration, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
• Develop integrations between SAP and enterprise applications (eg, banking platforms, M365, BI/reporting tools).
• Troubleshoot SAP-related issues, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal controls.
• Create and deliver training, process documentation, and support materials for finance teams.
• Support financial close processes, reconciliations, and reporting cycles with SAP-enabled automation.
• Contribute to M&A integration projects
• Partner with vendors on system upgrades, release management, and technical enhancements.
• Monitor performance, conduct data audits, and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
• Research and apply emerging SAP innovations (AI-driven analytics, automation, predictive forecasting).

Skills + Experience

• Proven experience in finance systems analysis with SAP ERP (S/4HANA preferred).
• Hands-on experience with SAP Public Cloud Premium or equivalent cloud ERP.
• Strong understanding of FI/CO, Treasury, reporting, and compliance processes.
• Proven experience in data migration, configuration, and SAP integration projects.
• Exposure to automation, AI, or advanced analytics in SAP (advantageous).
• Experience supporting M&A finance system integration.
• Expert in SAP module configuration, troubleshooting, and user support.
• Skilled in financial process analysis and implementing improvements.
• Strong communicator able to bridge technical SAP details with business needs.
• Ability to manage SAP projects, upgrades, and enhancements end-to-end.
• Analytical mindset for ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and reporting integrity.
