SAP Transformation Lead (SAP S/4HANA)
A global manufacturing organisation is entering a critical phase of its ERP transformation journey.
Pivoting from a complex landscape spanning multiple systems/ERP the business is evaluating a move toward a standardised, future-ready ERP platform (SAP S/4HANA).
Role Purpose
To lead the end-to-end ERP transformation strategy and delivery, acting as the key interface between business stakeholders, IT, and system integrators.
Key Responsibilities
Define and shape the ERP transformation roadmap (targeting SAP S/4HANA or equivalent)
Act as design authority, ensuring business-led, standardised processes across regions
Lead engagement with SI partners, ensuring delivery quality and avoiding over-engineering
Establish and govern core business processes (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Manufacturing, Supply Chain)
Oversee multi-country rollout strategy, including phased deployment and localisation
Drive data strategy and integration approach across Legacy systems
Align ERP transformation with future needs (AI, automation, ESG reporting)
Build and lead a lean internal ERP capability (process owners, SMEs, data leads)
Report into senior leadership, providing clear visibility on progress, risks, and investment
Required Experience
Proven leadership of large-scale ERP transformations - SAP S/4HANA
Experience operating in multi-country, multi-ERP environments
Strong understanding of manufacturing/industrial business models
Track record managing global SI partners
Deep knowledge of end-to-end business processes (O2C, P2P, Supply Chain, Manufacturing)
Experience transitioning from Legacy ERP (eg SAP ECC, JD Edwards) to modern platforms
Ability to balance standardisation vs local flexibility
Highly Desireable
- Exposure to AI/automation in ERP environments
- Experience integrating ERP with eCommerce, MES, or supply chain platforms
- Understanding of ESG/sustainability reporting requirements
- Prior experience within matrixed global organisations
