We are partnering with a leading European buy-and-build platform specialising in IT managed services and cloud businesses. Backed by long-term capital and part of a rapidly growing digital services group, the company has established a strong market position in the Netherlands and is now expanding aggressively across Europe, including significant recent growth in the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK M&A team at a pivotal stage of expansion, working in a fast-paced, private equity-style environment with high deal flow and strong exposure to senior stakeholders, founders, and management teams. You will gain end-to-end transaction experience across sourcing, execution, and completion while playing a key role in the continued growth of the UK platform. Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the execution of M&A transactions across the full deal lifecycle, from origination through to completion
- Conducting detailed assessments of potential acquisition targets, including analysing financial performance, commercial positioning, and value creation opportunities
- Building and maintaining financial models, including valuation analyses and investment cases
- Preparing high-quality transaction materials, including investment memoranda, presentations, and due diligence documentation
- Coordinating and supporting due diligence processes with internal stakeholders and external advisers
- Engaging directly with founders and management teams to assess business models and strategic fit
- Developing and maintaining relationships with advisers, intermediaries, and industry stakeholders to support deal sourcing activity
- Contributing to the development and management of a high-quality pipeline of acquisition opportunities
- Supporting transaction negotiations and execution processes through to successful completion
- Contributing to team development, knowledge sharing, and the continued growth of a strong UK M&A culture
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline, with a strong academic background
- Relevant M&A experience gained within investment banking, private equity, transaction services, or corporate finance
- Demonstrated experience supporting or executing transactions from origination to completion
- Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities, including building models from scratch
- Solid accounting knowledge and experience analysing financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and management teams
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Highly motivated, hands-on, and comfortable operating within a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally when required
