Are you an early-career cyber security professional with real hands-on experience in an information security function, not just general IT exposure?

We’re working with a highly respected professional services organisation to hire an Information Security Assistant on a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in St Paul’s. This is an excellent opportunity to build on existing infosec experience in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day operation of information security controls
  • Assist with security audits, questionnaires, and third-party risk reviews
  • Contribute to incident identification, triage, and response processes
  • Support vulnerability management and patching activities
  • Maintain and update the information security risk register
  • Assist with security reporting, metrics, and dashboards
  • Collaborate with IT teams to improve system and endpoint security
  • Promote security best practices across the organisation

Key requirements (essential):

  • Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in an information security function (not general IT with limited exposure to security)
  • Demonstrable experience in at least two of the following:
  • Security questionnaires and audits
  • Incident triage or response
  • Vulnerability management
  • Risk register maintenance
  • Strong understanding of operational security processes
  • Ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment

Soft skills:

  • Strong communication skills, able to explain security concepts clearly
  • Proactive mindset with a genuine interest in cyber security
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach
