Information Technology Support Engineer - 2nd / 3rd Line
2nd / 3rd Line IT Support Engineer | Hybrid from London or Sheffield | 7 Month FTC | Immediate start available | circa £42,000 (equivalent to circa £72,000 per annum)
Are you a technically strong IT Support Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems rather than just resetting passwords?
PinkWorm Recruitment is partnering with a established, well respected and growing financial services group investing heavily in its in-house IT Service Desk function.
They’re building their own in house service desk team and now require a hands on 2nd / 3rd Line Engineer on a fixed term basis, to help them make a immediate impact
💻 What you’ll be doing:
• Resolving escalated hardware, software & network issues
• Supporting Windows and/or Linux server environments
• Troubleshooting infrastructure & performance issues
• Acting as a senior escalation point within the Service Desk
• Contributing to service improvement and documentation
About you:
✔ Proven 2nd or 3rd Line support experience
✔ Strong infrastructure troubleshooting skills
✔ Windows and/or Linux server exposure
✔ Experience with ITSM/ticketing tools (ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus would be a bonus)
✔ Organised, solutions-focused approach with ability to manage multiple priorities and work well independently as well as a team
Bonus points for if you have MCP, Comp TIA Network+, Microsoft 365, Entra, Exchange, PowerShell or ITIL certifications.
It would be great if you also had some knowledge of scripting or automation (PowerShell)
