IT Integration Developer

I’m supporting a financial services client that’s modernising its technology landscape and investing heavily in API‐driven integration. They’re looking for an Integration Developer who can sit at the centre of this transformation, connecting internal systems with modern SaaS platforms and building the event‐driven data flows that power the business.

If you enjoy solving complex integration challenges, working with Azure middleware and shaping how systems communicate at scale, this is a role where you can make a real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and delivering secure, scalable API integrations across a diverse system landscape
  • Building and maintaining Azure‐based middleware (API Management, Logic Apps, Azure Functions)
  • Creating event‐driven, decoupled integration patterns rather than point‐to‐point solutions
  • Embedding secure‐by‐design principles into all integration architecture
  • Producing clear, high‐quality technical documentation for APIs, middleware, and data flows

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

  • Strong grounding in computer science or a similar discipline
  • Deep knowledge of Azure Integration Services
  • Understanding of traditional development stacks to support internal applications
  • Solid grasp of API architecture, consumption, data mapping and integration patterns
  • Strong understanding of modern authentication and authorisation (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, API Keys)
  • Awareness of API security best practices and threat mitigation

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform and its integration touchpoints
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (Azure Developer Associate, Solutions Architect, etc.)
  • Experience That Will Help You Succeed

Ideal Candidate Experience

Essential:

  • Hands‐on experience building API integrations and middleware for enterprise SaaS platforms
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable integration solutions
  • Experience with version control (ideally Git)

Desirable:

  • Exposure to digital transformation environments
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated sectors
  • Background working with AI, Automation or Power Platform teams
  • Ability to read and work with internal codebases (traditional development experience)
  • PHP or open‐source framework experience (useful but not essential)

Who You Are

  • A pragmatic problem‐solver with strong analytical thinking
  • Someone who communicates clearly and collaborates well across teams
  • Delivery‐focused, organised and comfortable working in a fast‐moving environment
  • Curious, innovative and always looking for better ways to build and connect systems
