Network Engineer

Location : London - hybrid 2 days in the office

We’re searching for a Network Engineer with strong Azure networking expertise and experience in regulated industries. This is a hands‑on technical position where you’ll take ownership of Low‑Level Designs, lead automation initiatives, and ensure hybrid infrastructure (data centre + cloud) is secure, scalable, and future‑proof.

You’ll be embedded in a high‑performance environment, working closely with Infrastructure and Architecture teams to deliver strategic network solutions that meet strict compliance and resilience standards.

In this role you will:

• Design and implement LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD‑WAN solutions across on‑prem and cloud platforms
• Act as the go‑to Azure networking specialist, driving integration, security, and governance
• Champion automation with tools like Ansible to simplify provisioning and monitoring
• Lead on network security design, including zero‑trust, firewalls, VPNs, and policy‑based routing
• Oversee lifecycle management: patching, vulnerability governance, and capacity planning
• Provide technical escalation and occasional out‑of‑hours support

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years in network infrastructure roles, ideally within financial services
• Deep knowledge of Azure networking (VNets, vWAN, ExpressRoute, NSGs)
• Strong SD‑WAN design and deployment experience
• Familiarity with Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet, and Sophos firewalls
• Hands‑on with automation/configuration tools (e.g. Ansible)
• Comfortable working in regulated environments with high compliance standards
