Head of Ecommerce

Executive Director - eCommerce ( 9 month FTC)

 

Location: London (3 days in-office, occasional travel)

Salary: Up to £95k

 

A leading global agency is seeking an experienced and strategic Executive Director - Commerce to join their core team. This role reports directly to the Global Commerce Lead and will be responsible for driving the development and execution of global commerce strategies, integrating them with media initiatives, and delivering innovative solutions for high-profile international clients.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the planning and implementation of multi-channel commerce strategies across multiple regions.
  • Identify growth opportunities in retail media, in-store, offsite tactics, and organic performance.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate commerce solutions with media strategies.
  • Conduct scoping exercises, develop playbooks, and drive adoption of best practices across the agency.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations and reports to clients and senior leadership.
  • Oversee 3rd party partnerships and support tech stack integration.

 

Qualifications and skills:

 

  • Proven expertise in commerce across multiple channels, with a strong understanding of retail media ecosystems.
  • Experience in global or multi-region roles, including scoping, playbook development, and knowledge sharing.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking, storytelling, and presentation abilities.
