DevOps Engineer
DevOps Engineer (Azure/AWS, SQL Server, Client-Facing)
Fully remote - UK Based - up to £65,000

We are hiring a DevOps Engineer to take ownership of critical UK-hosted production systems, working directly with clients and leading incident response across Cloud platforms.
This is a high-impact, client-facing role where you will act as the UK technical authority, ensuring system availability, security, and performance across business-critical applications.
You will sit at the centre of production operations, bridging UK clients and offshore engineering teams.

Skills required:
- Strong experience in DevOps / Production / Application Support environments
- Solid knowledge of AWS or Azure
- Advanced SQL Server skills (query optimisation, performance tuning)
- Experience supporting live production systems (L2/L3)
- Comfortable working in client-facing environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions
Responsibilities:
Production Ownership
- Own and manage UK-based production systems, ensuring stability, security, and compliance
Incident & Application Support (L2/L3)
- Lead complex incident resolution, root cause analysis, and act as escalation point during live issues
DevOps & Cloud Engineering
- Own CI/CD pipelines and drive improvements across AWS/Azure environments, monitoring, and reliability
Database Performance (SQL Server)
- Optimise SQL queries and resolve performance and data-related issues
Bonus:
- Experience in regulated or security-cleared environments
- Understanding of UK data compliance (GDPR, data residency)
