Embedded Software Engineer

Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer – Oxford – £70,000 per annum

We're partnered with a leading electronics manufacturer serving Aerospace, Maritime, Consumer, and Medical sectors. They're seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join their in-house design team.

About the Role

Design and develop firmware for datalogging, measurement control, PWM, and CANBus (CAN/CANFD) systems. Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate firmware with electronic products, produce documentation to AS9100 standards, and mentor junior engineers.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong C/C++ programming skills
• Experience with STM32 or Microchip (PIC) microcontrollers
• Knowledge of CANBus protocols and embedded GUIs (e.g., TouchGFX)
• Background in high-reliability industries (Aerospace, Automotive, Medical, Hazardous Area systems)
• Experience with firmware for functional safety (SIL-level) systems
• Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
