Principal Software Engineer

I’m working with an innovative technology business that is looking for an experienced Principal Software Engineer .

You’ll have the opportunity to influence technical strategy, solve complex engineering challenges and mentor other developers.

Location: Cambridge (Hybrid)

Salary: £70-80k

The role:

+ Lead the architecture, design and development of high-performance, resilient and secure systems using C#/.NET .

+ Develop scalable, low-latency applications handling high-volume data and real-time processing.

+ Shape the technical vision and long-term platform strategy.

+ Drive coding standards, code reviews and CI/CD best practices.

+ Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimise system performance and reliability.

+ Mentor and support mid and senior-level developers.

+ Work within an Agile/Scrum development environment alongside wider software and engineering teams.

Minimum role requirements:

+ Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET ,

+ Proven experience designing and developing scalable, distributed systems and microservices.

+ Strong Web Application development experience.

+ Experience with front-end technologies/UI such as WPF, MVVM, MVP or MVC
