This opportunity is with one of our clients, a fast-growing blockchain infrastructure company building institutional-grade DeFi systems. The team focuses on enabling traditional financial institutions to bring products on-chain through tokenisation, smart contracts, and trading infrastructure.
They are also developing a tokenisation and trading platform in collaboration with a publicly listed investment group, designed to give institutional investors access to Bitcoin and real-world asset strategies in a compliant and scalable way.
They are looking for a Business Development Lead to drive high-value partnerships across the Web3 and institutional finance ecosystem, working closely with founders in a lean, high-impact environment.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage partners across DeFi protocols, asset managers, fintechs, wallets, and token issuers
- Build and manage long-term relationships with founders, executives, and institutional stakeholders
- Own inbound and outbound partnership pipelines
- Manage and maintain CRM (Monday CRM), ensuring accurate deal tracking and reporting
- Structure commercial opportunities from early conversations through to closing
- Support proposal development, negotiations, and deal execution
- Refine positioning, messaging, and sales materials to improve conversion
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in Web3, ideally within DeFi or institutional-facing roles
- Strong understanding of DeFi primitives, tokenisation, and on-chain financial products
- Experience working in lean or early-stage teams
- Track record of independently driving partnerships or fundraising ($500k+)
- Hands-on CRM experience (pipeline management, reporting, deal tracking)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English; Mandarin is a strong plus
