This Trainee Sales Representative opportunity in Banbury offers the chance to build a rewarding career in B2B sales and IT marketing within a fast-paced, supportive environment.
You’ll play a key role in generating and qualifying sales opportunities for established technology brands, engaging directly with IT professionals and decision-makers. Through telephone outreach, personalised email campaigns and effective discovery conversations, you’ll identify business needs and connect prospects with relevant technology solutions.
You’ll receive structured training, ongoing professional development and opportunities to work towards recognised IT vendor certifications, with a clear progression pathway as you develop your sales and industry expertise.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct B2B prospecting through cold calling and personalised email outreach to arrange meetings with IT professionals.
- Hold discovery conversations with prospects to understand business needs and qualify relevant sales opportunities.
- Manage targeted outreach campaigns for leading IT vendors, developing knowledge of their products, services and certifications.
- Promote IT technologies and services to IT professionals while representing client brands professionally and effectively.
- Maintain accurate contact databases and ensure CRM records and prospect information remain clean and up to date.
- Produce clear, concise reports detailing qualified sales opportunities and relevant prospect information.
- Work to individual project and client campaign briefs, managing follow-up activity and contact cadences effectively.
- Attend and engage with ongoing client and industry training, including onsite and virtual sessions, and support contact registration for industry events.
Education & Skills Required
- Strong motivation, determination and resilience, with the ability to maintain a positive and energetic approach in a target-driven environment.
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, office-based work or another high-activity environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and confident telephone manner.
- Ability to work effectively against targets and KPIs while managing multiple campaigns and priorities.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to produce clear, concise written reports.
- A willingness to learn, respond positively to coaching and develop an understanding of technology, IT and B2B sales.
Additional Information:
- Hybrid working (following the 2-month training period)
- Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5:30pm and Friday 8:30am – 12:30pm
- Salary £24,500 plus bonus payment after training period
- Uncapped monthly bonus scheme
- 20 days annual leave (plus bank holiday)
- Christmas shutdown period
