This is a great opportunity for a talented Power BI Developer who enjoys turning data into meaningful insight and wants to play an important role in shaping how a business uses data and reporting.
You’ll help modernise the organisation’s reporting capabilities, moving away from legacy, manual and Excel-based processes towards scalable, trusted and user-friendly Power BI solutions that support better business decision-making.
What will you be doing
As Power BI Developer, you’ll work closely with the Digital Development Manager and stakeholders across the business to understand reporting challenges and turn requirements into effective Business Intelligence solutions.
You’ll work across Power BI, SQL and multiple data sources, while helping to improve reporting standards, data quality and governance across the organisation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing clear, engaging and user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards, helping to modernise existing manual and Excel-based reporting
- Developing DAX measures, calculations and KPIs, using Power Query to cleanse, transform and prepare data for analysis
- Designing and maintaining efficient data models and reusable datasets, working across SQL Server, Dataverse, Salesforce and other business data sources
- Managing the Power BI environment, including workspaces, datasets, refresh schedules, report distribution, security and governance
- Working closely with stakeholders to understand reporting challenges, define requirements and translate these into practical BI solutions
- Identifying opportunities to simplify, automate and improve reporting, while contributing to the wider development of the organisation’s data and analytics capabilities
What are we looking for
We’re looking for someone with strong Power BI experience who combines technical knowledge with curiosity, commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
You’ll be confident working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with the ability to understand how teams use data and turn their reporting requirements into practical, reliable and insightful solutions.
- Direct experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards, with strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Working knowledge of databases, SQL Server, DAX and Power Query
- Experience designing and maintaining data models for reporting and analytics
- A good understanding of data quality, reporting governance and best practice
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Confident communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions
Experience with Microsoft Dataverse, Salesforce, Qlik Sense, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI security and deployment, or Azure would also be advantageous.
