Role Overview
We are seeking an Analytics Governance MI/BI Analyst who is passionate about governance and data. This role is crucial in ensuring our Key Data Outputs (KDOs)-including metrics, reports, dashboards, and models-are catalogued and compliant with legal and regulatory standards. Your insights will help shape the Analytics Governance Framework, aligned with our existing Data Governance Framework, while extending governance across the development, maintenance, and change management of KDOs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Decompose and document current identified KDOs and End User Computing (EUC) reports across EMEA departments.
- Collaborate with KDO & EUC owners to identify remediation activities and track milestones.
- Enable departments to clearly define Key Metrics and challenge existing metric interpretations.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive Catalogue of Key Data Outputs, ensuring all required metadata is captured.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including BCBS239, and adhere to industry best practices for reporting and analytics.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings at all levels to gather and document business requirements.
- Analyze and document business requirements, collaborating with teams to create technical documentation that supports necessary governance approvals.
- Conduct proofs-of-concept to assess feasibility and value for stakeholders and clients.
- Engage in data governance forums to enhance the bank-wide data governance framework.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in Analytics Governance or EUC Reporting Governance.
- Familiarity with governance frameworks supporting BCBS239 principles; experience with ECB onboarding is a plus.
- Proficiency in cataloguing tools (e.g., Collibra) and analytics product development using tools like Alteryx, SQL, and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality, and regulatory requirements in the financial services industry.
- Analytical mindset with a knack for problem-solving and technology.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, capable of communicating effectively within working groups.
- Knowledge of Physical, Logical, and Business Data Models and the significance of metadata.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in organizations promoting well-governed self-serve analytics.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., Google Cloud Platform) and emerging trends in Data Analytics and Data Management.
- Exposure to Data Engineering or Data Science.
