Job Title: Business Change Project Manager Location: Castle Donington / HybridContract: 3 months with posibility for extension

Job Purpose:

In this role, you will take accountability for the development, management, and delivery of complex, customer-focused projects. Reporting directly to the Lead Project Manager, you will ensure that all initiatives are delivered successfully, meeting time, quality, budget, and benefit expectations while enhancing the reputation of the organisation.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Define, develop, and deliver high-value, complex customer projects on time and within budget while ensuring quality and benefits expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and manage business cases and benefits plans, undertaking regular evaluations of performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement while managing risks and issues effectively.
  • Ensure all project milestones are achieved or exceeded and establish robust project governance and control processes.
  • Provide regular status reports to key stakeholders, including accurate financial forecasting and risk management data.
  • Integrate activities across multiple projects to support the organisation's vision and strategic goals.
  • Develop structured project management plans, stakeholder maps, and communication plans to advocate for project objectives.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify the scope and impact of changes on people, processes, and technology.
  • Support the project team in mapping current and future processes to identify gaps and provide actionable recommendations for workflow improvements.
  • Implement governance structures to monitor progress and manage risks, providing updates to senior leadership on change initiatives.
  • Identify potential areas of resistance and develop strategies to foster stakeholder buy-in for smooth adoption.
  • Collect feedback mechanisms to support the project and drive customer and stakeholder satisfaction through proactive engagement.

Knowledge, Experience and Technical Know-How:

  • Proven experience in project/programme management within a customer service-focused industry, ideally in the energy sector.
  • Experience leading large, complex programmes, enabling teams to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing large teams and gaining commitment from a diverse operational group.
  • Resilience and strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
  • Customer management experience with the ability to influence peers and senior colleagues.
  • Experience driving commercial value through effective relationship management and return on investment.
  • Familiarity with business case development and benefits realisation.
  • A professional Project Management qualification is essential; a degree in a relevant discipline is desirable.
