They are seeking a Commercial Relationship and Performance Manager to join the team on an initial 6 month contract with the potential to extend. You will be hybrid working being located at one of the above locations 2 days a week with the remainder of time working from home. This position is working Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
Overview
This is a relationship-led role focused on managing and strengthening business-critical consultancy and supplier engagements.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders and external suppliers, building strong relationships, understanding business priorities and ensuring engagements deliver against agreed outcomes.
You will oversee a portfolio of live consultancy engagements, facilitating regular engagement discussions, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring stakeholders and suppliers remain aligned on objectives, performance and delivery expectations.
Success in this role will come from your ability to build trusted relationships, communicate effectively, influence stakeholders, challenge constructively and maintain oversight across multiple engagements simultaneously.
This is less about procurement activity and more about relationship management, stakeholder engagement, commercial performance and delivery oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, consultants and suppliers across a portfolio of live engagements.
- Act as a trusted point of contact, understanding stakeholder priorities and engagement objectives.
- Facilitate regular performance reviews and engagement discussions.
- Monitor consultancy engagements to ensure agreed deliverables and outcomes are achieved.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies and opportunities.
- Hold suppliers accountable for delivery and value.
- Influence decisions relating to extensions, scope changes and future demand.
- Maintain governance records, trackers and management information.
- Analyse performance trends and stakeholder feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
- Share best practice and support continuous improvement activities.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience managing and developing business relationships across stakeholders, clients, suppliers or partner organisations.
- Experience overseeing multiple concurrent engagements, accounts or service relationships.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading review meetings, governance forums or performance discussions.
- Ability to challenge constructively and drive actions through to completion.
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Commercial awareness and experience working with contracts, SOWs or service agreements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Experience in Account Management, Relationship Management, Customer Success, Supplier Relationship Management, Service Delivery Management or Vendor Management roles.
- Experience within Financial Services or another regulated environment.
- Exposure to consultancy engagements, professional services suppliers or managed service providers.
- Experience using contract, supplier or performance management systems.
- Knowledge of supplier governance, performance management or procurement processes.
