Job Title: Common Data Environment (CDE) & BIM Consultant / Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Location: London or Warwick | 2 days onsite per week | Hybrid options available
Position Summary:
We are seeking an expert Common Data Environment (CDE) & Building Information Modelling (BIM) Consultant / SME to join a high-profile UK energy infrastructure programme. This pivotal role requires hands-on expertise in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), CDE platforms, and BIM to configure, implement, and optimize collaborative digital environments. Experience with ISO 19650 standards and ACC will position candidates as highly likely to succeed in this role. The successful candidate will act as the authoritative resource on BIM implementation, standards compliance, and data governance, supporting one of the UK's leading energy network clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the configuration, implementation, and optimization of ACC and CDE platforms to support collaborative project data management across multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide expert guidance on BIM standards and protocols, including ISO 19650, across all project phases from design to construction and handover.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce BIM execution plans, templates, and project-specific digital data standards to ensure compliance with client, regulatory, and industry requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to integrate BIM processes efficiently and resolve technical challenges related to platform configuration, model coordination, and data exchange.
- Deliver training, workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions to enhance BIM competency and promote best practices across project teams.
- Conduct quality control audits on BIM models and data to ensure accuracy, interoperability, and timely delivery across platforms.
- Monitor emerging BIM technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing innovations to improve workflows and project outcomes.
- Support risk management related to information governance, intellectual property, and data security within ACC, CDE, and BIM environments.
- Serve as liaison between IT teams and project stakeholders to troubleshoot integration issues and optimize system performance.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience configuring and managing Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), CDE, and BIM platforms.
- Proven expertise in BIM implementation, including authoring and managing federated models, clash detection, and data coordination.
- Strong experience with ISO 19650 standards and UK construction data protocols.
- Proficiency in BIM authoring and coordination software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks).
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience auditing, validating, and troubleshooting complex BIM/CDE data flows.
- Understanding of information security and data governance best practices within digital construction environments.
Desirable Attributes:
- Professional certification in BIM management or related disciplines.
- Experience in multidisciplinary infrastructure or building projects within the UK market.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, digital twins, and advanced 3D visualization techniques.
