Key Accountabilities:

As an IT Project & Programme Manager, you will:

  • Plan & Coordinate: Oversee activities to manage and implement projects from idea to close down.
  • Business Requirements: Ensure business needs are identified and transformed into actionable plans.
  • Business Cases: Create and regularly update business cases to reflect any changes.
  • Project Delivery: Control project delivery to meet strategic goals while managing resources, budgets, and timelines.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Continuously monitor, review, and report on all project attributes to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Process Implementation: Define and implement effective business processes as required.
  • Governance: Manage projects in alignment with the relevant Delivery Framework and Governance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster relationships with stakeholders to ensure they are aware of project progress.
  • Team Management: Lead project teams and manage external suppliers as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Experience in delivering projects within a structured project delivery life cycle.
  • Knowledge of various project methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, Agile, Waterfall).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in engaging stakeholders and customers at all levels.
  • A knack for building effective working relationships across the organization.
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on customer-centric decision-making.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate team members while driving performance.

Education and Certifications:

  • Project Management qualifications such as PRINCE2, APM, or Agile.
  • A degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
