The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced IT Sourcing professional to join a high-performing Group Sourcing & Supplier Management team. This role supports key technology functions across Commercial Banking and Trading Platforms, delivering strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract expertise across a diverse portfolio of IT services and technology solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity for an established sourcing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple workstreams simultaneously, and can build strong relationships across both business and supplier communities.

You will work across the full supplier lifecycle, from sourcing and contract negotiation through to supplier performance management and ongoing commercial governance, helping to deliver value while supporting critical technology initiatives.

You will be joining the team on an initial 5 month contract with the potential to extend. Working Monday to Friday standard office hours, you will be office based 2 days a week at one of the above locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages and delivers required outcomes for a portfolio of contracts and negotiates service level agreements while planning, coordinating and supervising activities related to major contracts.
• Analyses key themes using data from a wide range of sources and identifies possible impacts on the business.
• Delivers outcomes by managing others and working within established systems.
• Explores issues and/or needs to establish potential causes, related issues and barriers.
• Manages and delivers required outcomes for a portfolio of projects while reporting to senior colleagues.
• Delivers prescribed outcomes for area of responsibility by improving and/or working within established procurement procedures.
• Provides advice on designing new processes and systems to achieve professional standards and desired outcomes.
• Delivers prescribed outcomes for a designated area, using risk management systems to ensure the organisation is not exposed to undue risks.
• Analyses specified problems and issues to find the best technical and/or professional solutions.
• Delivers prescribed outcomes for area of responsibility by working within established strategic planning systems.
• Manages relationships with small clients to ensure their needs are met while supporting senior colleagues in managing more important client and customer relationships.
• Grows own capabilities by pursuing and investing in personal development opportunities and develops the capabilities of direct reports by working within existing development framework; provides specialised training or coaching in area of expertise to others throughout the organisation.

About You

We're looking for a well-rounded sourcing professional who combines commercial expertise with strong relationship-building skills.

You will ideally have:

• Significant experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, or vendor management.
• Experience managing complex contracts and commercial negotiations independently.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels of an organisation.
• Proven ability to manage several sourcing projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• A collaborative and flexible approach with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to wider team objectives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• An agile mindset and the ability to adapt to changing business priorities.

Technology & Category Experience

Experience within IT procurement is highly desirable, particularly across:

• Software and SaaS solutions
• Technology services
• Application and platform agreements
• IT outsourcing and managed services
• Cloud-based technology solutions

A working knowledge of areas such as intellectual property rights, software licensing, warranties, support agreements, and technology contract structures would be advantageous.

Desirable Experience

• Experience operating within a large, complex corporate environment.
• Knowledge of supplier risk and governance frameworks.
• Exposure to SAP Ariba or similar procurement platforms.
• Experience supporting technology or digital transformation programmes.
