Role Overview
As an Oracle DBA, you will play a key role in supporting our extensive portfolio of over 800 Oracle databases, primarily focusing on Oracle 19c. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our database environments, which include complex configurations such as RAC/ASM, Exadata, Dataguard, and RMAN.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain Oracle 19c databases with a focus on ASM/RAC on Linux.
- Manage the installation and upgrades of Oracle RAC Clusters and associated application tools.
- Create, modify, and patch various database products as needed.
- Execute Oracle RMAN backup and recovery procedures effectively.
- Optimize database performance through tuning and monitoring.
- Configure and operate Oracle GoldenGate microservices.
- Provide support for Oracle Exadata and Oracle DataGuard environments.
- Utilize OEM 13c, Oracle OID, Foglight, and Autosys for database management.
- Conduct SQL and PL/SQL programming for database operations.
- Oversee database auditing, security, and performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues proactively.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as an Oracle DBA, particularly with Oracle 19c, in a complex environment.
- Strong understanding of RAC/ASM, Exadata, Dataguard, and RMAN.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate configuration and operations.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Familiarity with database auditing and security best practices.
- Expertise in performance tuning and monitoring, with tools like Foglight and OEM.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
