Project Manager - Client Implementation (Asset Owner)

Role Overview

An experienced Project Manager is required to join a Client Implementation Practice supporting a high-priority initiative within the Asset Owner space. This role focuses on managing the transition of complex client implementation activities onto back-office platforms and contributes to the successful delivery of an in-flight programme.

The role is both client-facing and internally focused, working closely with external clients as well as internal technology and operational teams. It requires a high degree of flexibility and adaptability and offers exposure across multiple business areas and senior stakeholder groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end client implementation and transition activities onto back-office platforms
  • Act as a key interface with external clients throughout the implementation lifecycle
  • Partner with internal technology and operational teams to define, manage, and deliver effective solutions
  • Clearly articulate business requirements and drive delivery through structured project management
  • Balance multiple priorities within a core programme team while managing individual change requests
  • Participate in governance forums and stakeholder committees
  • Build strong working relationships across operational teams and senior client stakeholders
Knowledge & Experience
  • Strong understanding of the pension and asset owner landscape
  • Broad knowledge of investment management back-office functions, including:
    • Custody-related transitions
    • Trade processing and settlements
    • Cash and income processing
    • Corporate actions
    • Data management and valuations
    • Client reporting and performance attribution
  • Experience working within complex, in-flight programmes
  • Comfortable operating across multiple organisational levels
  • Adaptable, delivery-focused, and confident managing change in a dynamic environment
