Pay Rate: £690 via Umbrella
Location: London, 100LS
Length of Contract: 31/03/2026
The Role
As a QA Analyst, you will work closely with business stakeholders, internal IT, production support, and vendors to validate new solutions and enhance existing software via rigorous testing. You will be involved in front-office upgrades, back-office enhancements, production defect resolution, and regression testing projects, primarily within an Agile environment.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about testing, with strong analytical skills, and a desire to build a career in software quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Testing & QA Execution
- Review requirements, specifications, and documentation to assure product quality.
- Define, maintain, and execute test scenarios and scripts for client's core systems.
- Deliver functional, system integration, regression, and UAT support testing.
- Manage defect tracking and resolution, collaborating with developers, QA leads, and production support.
- Maintain and improve regression test packs using XRAY test management tool.
Business Analysis
- Collaborate with BAs and SMEs to understand acceptance criteria.
- Translate business requirements into test scenarios and test cases.
- Assist with regression testing during UAT phases.
Test Environment & Data Management
- Ensure suitable test environments are available.
- Prepare and manage test data for execution.
Bug Management & Reporting
- Analyse, document, and track defects in line with agreed processes.
- Build dashboards and status reports to communicate testing progress and quality metrics.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual with the following:
- Experience with electronic trading flows (D2D, D2C, Bloomberg, Tradeweb, algo trading, smart order routing).
- Understanding of interest rate derivatives (swaps, futures).
- Familiarity with automation testing (advantageous).
- Strong knowledge of SDLC in Agile environments.
- Technical skills: SQL, Python, JavaScript, APIs, data reconciliation.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong documentation, bug reporting, and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
