Our client, a leading organisation in the Retail-banking sector, is seeking a talented Recoverability Analyst to support their Information Security team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to play a critical part in establishing and enhancing the recoverability across the IMS technology estate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain a comprehensive recoverability asset inventory, covering applications, infrastructure, cloud services, data stores, and third-party services.
• Identify essential systems, platforms, and datasets that require robust backup and recovery capabilities.
• Assess current backup coverage, retention periods, and frequencies to ensure optimal data security.
• Catalogue backup and recovery solutions currently in use throughout the technology estate.
• Evaluate the implementation of immutable backup controls and ransomware resilience measures.
• Review operational monitoring, alerting, and reporting associated with backup platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, cloud, application, and supplier teams to gather essential evidence.
• Document recovery dependencies, risks, control gaps, and opportunities for remediation.
• Produce management reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to inform stakeholders.
• Support the development of the Recoverability LDM control roadmap.

Experience Required:

Essential:

• Proven experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure, Information Security, Risk, Audit, or Technology Governance.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with asset inventories, CMDBs, or technology registers.
• Ability to effectively engage with technical teams and suppliers to gather necessary information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of backup technologies and disaster recovery concepts.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, and Microsoft 365.
• Understanding of cyber security controls and operational resilience requirements.
• Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, or control assessments.

Success Measures:

Throughout the engagement, the analyst should deliver:

• A complete inventory of in-scope technology assets.
• Confirmed backup status for all critical assets.
• Identification of assets lacking backup coverage.
• Identification of assets without immutable backup protection.
• Recognition of backup monitoring and reporting gaps.
• An executive-ready recoverability dashboard with actionable recommendations.
