SAP Basis Consultant

SAP Basis Consultant Utilities Hybrid: 1-2 days per week in Warwick 6 months+ £650 - £750 per day

In short: SAP Basis Consultant required to provide maintenance, alerting and monitoring on the S/4 platform. You'll work to service tickets on SNOW and provide support across SQL, Unix and Linux.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Basis Consultant/Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in system installation, configuration, upgrades, and performance tuning, along with troubleshooting SAP S/4 HANA, Fiori, GRC and PO SAP systems. This includes experience with SAP Basis administration, SAP ALM, and BTP cloud infrastructure. Experience with S/4 HANA on Google Cloud Platform (ideally but not essential) and specific GCP services for e.g. BUDR (Backup and Disaster Recovery), and in utilities, finance, procurement, or HR is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP HANA architecture, system administration, transport management, system copy, client copy, and system refresh activities on GCP.
• SAP Solution Manager for monitoring, early watch reports, as well as SAP Cloud ALM.
• Planning and applying SAP Security Patches
• Support cloud-based SAP deployments, particularly on GCP, including understanding of infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS) models including data flows across various systems and processes.
• Support with operating systems (Windows, Linux), database management (HANA DB, SQL Server), and performance monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with cross-technical teams for Cloud infrastructure management (VMs, disks, networking, IAM), Security and Application Support
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as an SAP Basis Consultant/Architect in similar role.
• Extensive experience with S/4 HANA.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SAP Upgrade, Custom Code and Simplification Item Readiness Checks as part of SAP Upgrade/Migration Planning
• Familiarity with SAP CPI CTS+, Adobe Document Services, SAP Content Server and SAP Signavio
• Experience with SAP Activate or various project management methodologies
• Familiarity with writing Standard Basis System Build Documents and Standard Basis Operating Procedures
• Understanding of cloud-based data solutions and technical integration around S/4 and Coupa, SAP Concur, SAP Ariba and SAP SuccessFactors would be a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP Joule AI and machine learning concepts and automation is a plus for AIOPs.
