In short: We're seeking a solid System Integration Test Analyst to plan, perform and analyse the end-to-end testing of Windows Servers / Machines. We need someone detailed who can present findings to a multitude of stakeholders.
In full:
The Test Analyst is required to support the testing efforts for projects within the business, creating test scenarios and test cases as well as supporting test execution. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of structured testing in a fast-paced environment, be able to design and execute test cases, and ensure delivery on their respective projects. The successful candidate will also possess experience of test automation and will be able to demonstrate this.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Case Design and Execution:
Design, develop, and execute test cases to cover various aspects of the delivered solution including functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Test Automation
Should have experience of working with test automation engineers and be able to support the creation of automated test packs based upon existing manual tests. PowerShell experience preferred.
- Defect Management:
Identify, document, and track defects using Atlassian JIRA, working with developers and 3rd parties to resolve issues.
- Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate test progress, results, and findings to stakeholders, including test managers, project managers, developers, and business analysts.
- Risk Identification and Mitigation:
Identify potential risks associated with testing and develop mitigation strategies.
- Tools:
Have experience of using testing tools (Atlassian JIRA preferred but not essential) as long as evidence of toolsets may be demonstrated.
Requirements and Skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- Experience of Windows 10/11 testing
- Demonstrable experience of planning end-to-end test scenarios
- In-depth knowledge and experience of testing processes and methodologies.
- An ability to assimilate both business and technical specifications and create detail rounded test cases efficiently and without fuss.
- Pragmatic delivery focused approach
- Excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail
Additional preferred:
- Agile/Waterfall experience.
- Energy Industry experience, especially an appreciation on industry standards.
- Experience of testing controlled server environments in substations (nice to have)
- Cyber Security experience.
- Scrupulous attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure
