Job Title: SQL Developer Location: Dublin- Hybrid Contract: Contract Role Pay Rate: 500 per day
Overview
We are looking for an experienced SQL Developer to join a global development team working on a critical finance control tool that supports daily PnL production processes for a large financial services environment.
This application is used by 500+ daily users and is maintained by a distributed team based across Europe and Asia. The successful candidate will play a key role in building new database functionality to support funded initiatives planned for 2026, while also contributing to modernization of development processes and tooling.
This is a great opportunity to work on a high-impact financial systems platform with strong exposure to enterprise-scale data environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Microsoft SQL Server database solutions
- Build new database functionality supporting finance control applications
- Collaborate with global development teams in an Agile environment
- Contribute to improvements in development processes and tooling
- Ensure solutions meet internal policies, standards, and compliance requirements
- Support the full project lifecycle from design through to delivery
- Investigate and resolve issues, owning them through to completion
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server development
- Understanding of Agile and Lean software development practices
- Good Object-Oriented design knowledge and architectural awareness
- Broad technical understanding of enterprise systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience collaborating with global teams
- Ability to drive efficient development practices
- Strong ownership mindset and problem-solving skills
Desirable Skills
- Experience within investment banking or financial services
- Exposure to front office or middle office environments
- Awareness of risk, compliance, and operational considerations within financial systems
