Role Profile
Are you ready to be a pivotal part of one of the most exciting transformations in UK financial history? We are seeking an innovative Analytics & BI Manager to join our dynamic team within the banking sector. With over 30 million customers and billions of transactions, you will tap into one of the richest data ecosystems in the country, leveraging AI and Generative BI to redefine how insights are created and consumed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Ownership: Design and deliver Generative BI solutions that tackle complex business challenges and generate measurable value across various business units.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate strategic needs into scalable technical solutions, guiding cross-functional teams from ideation through deployment.
- Architectural Expertise: Develop solution designs that integrate seamlessly with our existing platforms, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conversational Analytics: Oversee the creation of semantic models that enable conversational analytics and empower self-service intelligence at scale.
- Tool Selection: Champion the use of Google Cloud & Power BI Copilot, selecting appropriate tools to navigate big data and surface actionable insights.
- Data Narratives: Craft compelling data narratives for diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and relevance from technical teams to executive leadership.
- Generative Workflows: Engineer intelligent prompts and workflows to maximize the effectiveness of generative tools in real-world applications.
- Adoption & Change Management: Drive the adoption of Generative BI capabilities across the organization, leading enablement initiatives and establishing best practices.
- Mentorship: Contribute to the Gen BI playbook and mentor team members on advanced techniques.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in delivering enterprise-scale BI or data science solutions, preferably with generative or self-service capabilities.
- Deep understanding of solution design principles and the ability to deliver interlocking benefits across teams and platforms.
- Strong statistical grounding, including expertise in forecasting, clustering, optimization, and predictive modeling.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (especially BigQuery).
- Commercial acumen in leveraging data to shape strategy and unlock business value.
- Exceptional data storytelling skills, translating complex models into engaging narratives.
- Experience in scaling proof-of-concept projects within complex, matrixed organizations.
