Senior Business Analyst (Asset Information) Utilities Hybrid: 1-2 days per week in Warwick 6 months £600 per day
Job Purpose: As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in capturing requirements, leading workshops, and driving process improvements to support the uplift of asset information capability. You'll provide valuable input to the Asset Information Maturity Assessment and contribute to the delivery of the Asset Information Improvement Programme.
Key Accountabilities:
- Requirements Capture and Analysis - Lead the elicitation, documentation, and management of requirements. - Translate asset information needs into structured, validated requirements.
- Workshop Leadership and Engagement - Plan and facilitate workshops and focus groups. - Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
- Process Mapping and Improvement - Analyse processes to identify inefficiencies. - Apply Six Sigma, Lean, and related process improvement techniques.
- Roadmap Support - Support maturity assessments and baseline reviews. - Document user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Governance and Reporting - Maintain traceability and support governance forums.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience working with Business SMEs and end-users to elicit requirements.
- Ability to lead or support stakeholder interviews and facilitate workshops effectively.
- A knack for building a network of SME contacts across the business.
- Strong analytical skills to distil complex data into a consumable format for various audiences.
- A collaborative spirit, thriving in fast-paced, cross-functional teams, and solving complex business challenges with agility.
Interpersonal and Management Skills:
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, working across workstreams and delivery units.
- Passionate about the successful delivery of digital transformation, advocating for digital initiatives and influencing stakeholders on the importance of business change and product management.
Technical Expertise:
- Experience as a business analyst in transformation or data-centric programs.
- Proficient in requirements gathering, process mapping, and facilitation.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering agile programs of work.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills around program and project features and benefits management.
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent understanding of technical documentation and asset information requirements.
- Knowledge of transmission assets and systems is a plus!
