Senior Full Stack Engineer - FX e-Trading (React/TypeScript + Java)
Location: London (minimum 2 days per week onsite)
Contract: 12 months
About the role
We're looking for two experienced Senior Full Stack Engineers to join a high-profile project building a brand-new FX e-trading platform. You'll be responsible for delivering full-stack features across React/TypeScript front-end applications and Java backend services, ensuring high performance, resilience, and reliability for real-time trading workflows.
What you'll do
Lead design and development of full-stack features, from frontend UI to backend services.
Work closely with trading, product, and infrastructure teams to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions.
Optimise system performance, latency, and reliability for real-time trading.
Mentor and support other engineers, sharing best practices and driving code quality.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and maintain high-quality code.
What we're looking for
Strong experience in full-stack development with React/TypeScript and Java.
Proven experience with microservices, distributed systems, and real-time trading or financial platforms.
Hands-on understanding of system performance, latency optimisation, and observability.
Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and mentor other engineers effectively.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools is a plus.
