Job Title: Senior Project Manager - CNI Application Migration

Contract Length: 6 months (with strong potential for extension)

Location: Warwick (reasonable commute required)

Working Pattern: Hybrid working, with approximately one day per week in the office (and potentially less, subject to business requirements).

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a pivotal IT project workstream focused on the migration of Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) applications onto a new compute and storage capability, alongside enhanced network systems. This interim role presents an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the migration of CNI applications, ensuring all project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate efforts across cross-functional teams that support CNI and security applications.
  • Implement best practises in project management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness throughout the project life cycle.
  • Handle risk, issue, and dependency management, ensuring proactive measures are taken to mitigate potential setbacks.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and achievements effectively to all stakeholders, fostering transparency and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and organisational policies throughout the project.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience in managing IT projects, with a focus on application and infrastructure migration.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, data centre technologies, networks, and telemetry applications, including SCADA.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, Scaled Agile, and PRINCE2.
  • Demonstrated skills in managing third-party vendors, including commercial considerations and contractual obligations.
  • Ability to juggle multiple project demands, maintaining composure under pressure.
  • A problem-solving mindset, focused on achieving results and maintaining high-quality standards.
